Kenfield is the leading manufacturer of doorway innovations for the food retail, foodservice, hospitality and warehousing industries. The UK-based brand focuses on reducing energy and maintenance costs while improving operational efficiency for global retailers with products such as the K750 Energy Door and K150 Impact Door.

Jon Carn, Managing Director of Kenfield, commented: “The patented, award winning K750 is our game-changing solution for reducing warm air ingress in walk-in coldrooms, reducing energy consumption, maintenance costs and ice build-up. Meanwhile, the K150 is the best-in-class double action impact door for high traffic areas in any retail and foodservice environment. Both are part of our unique range of doorway innovations, and we’re excited to showcase them at EuroShop 2026.”

A staple at many industry events, Kenfield will be exhibiting at their third consecutive EuroShop this February in Düsseldorf. EuroShop is the world’s largest retail exhibition and only occurs once every three years. With attendees travelling from across the world, it’s an incredible opportunity for any organisation to make a lasting impression.

However, this time Kenfield won’t be there alone.

A uniquely British partnership

In a first for the event, Kenfield will be joined by UK contemporaries, Aerofoil and Ovaglas, on a single stand to form a unique, British innovation partnership.

When asked about the formation of the partnership, Jon stated: “We have worked alongside Aerofoil and Ovaglas at a number of industry events in the US, flying the flag for British innovation. EuroShop gives us the opportunity to show global retailers how our combined visions can make an incredible difference to their operations.”

The vision Jon speaks of is one built around sustainability as much as innovation. All three businesses manufacture a range of products that are designed to help customers cut their costs and improve operational efficiency, whilst also alleviating environmental concerns.

Ovaglas, experts in efficient glazing

Although Ovaglas gained their reputation through glass coatings for solar efficiency, protective properties and enhanced privacy, it’s their work alongside Celanese that have turned heads in retail and supermarkets.

Celanese developed Clarifoil, a pioneering film used for freezer doors to prevent fogging. This film, which comes from a sustainable source and is not polyester based, reduces the need for the more traditional method of fog prevention – electric heating – which can considerably add to energy usage and costs.

Since beginning their installations of Clarifoil, Ovaglas has seen incredible results.

Stephen Ball, President of Ovaglas, said: “Clarifoil has already been used to improve efficiencies across more than 175,000 refrigerator doors, resulting in just as many metric tons of C02 saved. We can’t wait to show all kinds of businesses how they can stop wasting thousands of pounds with a conversation at EuroShop.”

Aerofoil and the inspiration putting them in pole position

Supermarkets and Formula One aren’t usually associated with each other. However, the retail refrigeration specialists, Aerofoil are using an advanced form of aerodynamics to do just that.

Their development of Invisidoor has unlocked a barrier-free, airflow system for open refrigerated display cases. Invisidoor uses a variety of aerofoils and guides to create a continuous ‘curtain’ of cold air from canopy to base, meaning less energy use and reduced maintenance costs.

“The Invisidoor air curtain has shown it can save up to 38% in energy usage for open cases, whilst supporting a more engaging and comfortable shopping experience for the consumer,” Paul McAndrew, Founder & CEO of Aerofoil, commented. “Supermarkets, want the energy savings from doors, but not the barrier. Invisidoor solves this problem by providing all the energy benefits associated with fridge doors – but without the barrier of doors. We are showcasing Invisidoor at EuroShop and we’ll show you just how we’ve transformed refrigeration for many of the world’s leading supermarkets.”

Aerofoil will be providing something almost as unique as their products for the stand with Kenfield and Ovaglas – an F1 racing simulator. Aiming to showcase the power of aerodynamics and their air curtain technology, visitors to the stand will be invited to try their hand at a time trial and top the innovation partnership’s leaderboard!

Meeting your goals at EuroShop

With all three brands showing a desire to improve efficiencies for the retail industry and offer sustainable solutions for common issues, it’s clear their shared ethos will make a big impression in Düsseldorf.

“We’re really excited about partnering for this event. Our partners are serious innovators and by sharing our stand and including each of our brands in our conversations at EuroShop we can help retailers meet their operational and sustainability goals seamlessly.”

You can find Kenfield, Aerofoil and Ovaglas in Hall 15, D21 at EuroShop, 22-26 February.
