Kenfield supplies warehouse doors, food hygiene doors, and impact crash doors to supermarkets, food production facilities, distribution centres, and commercial kitchens across the UK. Every door in our range is manufactured to your exact aperture and specification at our Birmingham facility. No standard sizing, no compromise on fit.
We have been doing this since 1983. Our doors are used by Tesco, Sainsbury's, Farmfoods and Aldi, and our K750 Energy Door is installed in more than 35,000 supermarkets across the UK, Europe and the US. When operators in demanding environments need doors that hold up, they come to us.
Warehouse and food doors cover the specialist internal doors used in logistics, food production, food retail, and cold chain environments. That includes impact crash doors for forklift and vehicle traffic, food hygiene doors for food production environments, clean room doors for controlled environments, and insulated strip door curtains for pedestrian cold store access.
What distinguishes these from standard internal doors is the specification. They are built to handle repeated physical impact, maintain temperature zones, or satisfy the hygiene standards required in food environments. Usually several of these at once.
Kenfield's warehouse and food door range covers five distinct products, each engineered for a specific set of operating conditions.
K750 Energy Door
Our patented, award-winning door for temperature-controlled areas. The K750 is the standard specification for high-traffic cold store entrances in supermarkets and food retail. With over 35,000 installs and counting globally, it is the product we’re best known for. It works best as part of a well-maintained system. It will not compensate for refrigeration faults or structural heat loss, so address those first. The K750 does the rest.
K250 GRP Retail Swing Door
GRP (glass-reinforced polymer) construction makes the K250 lightweight, impact-resistant, and corrosion-free. It is the standard choice for supermarket back-of-house, distribution centre doorways, and retail swing door applications where forklift and pallet truck contact is routine. It flexes on impact and returns to position. GRP does not corrode, delaminate, or absorb moisture, which matters in environments that are regularly hosed down.
K150 Polyethylene Food Hygiene Door
Built for food production, food processing, and commercial kitchens where contamination control is a requirement. The K150 uses hygienic polyethylene panels: non-porous, chemical-resistant, and straightforward to sanitise. It is compatible with cleaning regimes and available with optional vision panels and protective kick plates. If you are searching for polyethylene food hygiene doors or food safe doors for a food production site, this is the product to look at.
K450 High Hygiene Food / Clean Room Door
Our highest-specification food hygiene door, built for clean rooms, pharmaceutical-adjacent environments. Rigid polyethylene, polycarbonate, or PETG panels provide full visibility and can be sanitised without surface degradation. Where a standard food hygiene door is not enough, the K450 is the step up.
K2 Insulated Strip Door Curtain
A flexible, insulated alternative to a full door at pedestrian and light-equipment cold store access points. The K2 reduces cold air loss, maintains visibility, and allows easy passage without requiring the doorway to be a fixed-door opening. It outperforms standard PVC strip curtains on durability and insulation. Standard strips are routinely removed or damaged in operation and stop doing their job. The K2 is designed to stay in place and keep working. Suitable for cold room and freezer room applications.
Our warehouse and food doors are specified across a wide range of sectors. Supermarkets and food retail account for a significant share of our volume. Supermarkets such as Tesco, Sainsbury's, Aldi, and Iceland all use Kenfield products. Beyond retail, we supply food production and food processing plants, cold chain and refrigeration operators, distribution centres, commercial kitchens, and pharmaceutical facilities.
For warehousing and logistics operators, the relevant products are typically the K250 GRP or K150 polyethylene crash door for vehicle-traffic doorways and the K2 strip curtain for pedestrian cold store access. Food production sites are more likely to need the K150 or K450 food hygiene doors. We will always recommend the right product for your environment, not the most expensive one.
